My unrequited love is over, and so is my diary.

Zhou Tingwan no longer loves Shen Helin.

Her five-year-long unrequited love ends here.

Zhou Tingwan's final diary entry is the last time she writes about loving Shen Helin.

For five years, she loved him and filled her diary with thoughts of him.

In the end, all he remembered was her surname. This five-year-long love, hidden away from the light, was too bitter for words.

She used to believe with all her heart that she was just some nameless supporting character in his world.

Then Chen Jiading came along and made her realize

that even a boy as unruly as him could secretly love her, hiding it from everyone in some forgotten corner.

He even learned to clumsily write his first diary entry:

I wasted a whole class trying to find out all three characters of her name. She really is going to be the death of me.

Zhou Tingwan.

Those two lines marked the beginning of his infatuation, the moment he fell helplessly in love.

Years later, when she opened her diary again, the self-deprecating words she'd written were contradicted by his bold, sweeping handwriting:

"You're not a supporting character in anyone else's world. You're the only leading lady in mine."

She pulled him out of the darkness, and he pulled her out of her troubles.

Only he could pull her out of her troubles, and only he held her as she fell apart beneath that evening sky, her head buried in the crook of her neck as he asked in a hoarse voice, "Does it have to be spring? Can't it be autumn?"

Does it have to be Shen Helin?

Can't it be me?

Spring is like Shen Helin, a gust of wind that was never hers.

Autumn is like Chen Jiading, and Chen Jiading belongs to Zhou Tingwan.

There is a line in Chen Jiading's diary:

-Regret is a part of life, but it can't be the ending for Chen Jiading and Zhou Tingwan.

That year, he repeated a year of school for love and became the good student he'd once been. He kicked every bad habit she hated.

He didn't want to live with regrets. He wanted a happy ending with A-Wan.

Zhou Tingwan casually flipped through the diary of the school's notorious heartthrob, not knowing which entry it was:

Today I rode the Ferris wheel with her.

When she tilted her head back to watch the fireworks, only one thought crossed my mind:

How can anyone be this cute!!!

My eyes have fallen in love.

By the time Zhou Tingwan finished reading, she was laughing so hard she could barely breathe. Chen Jiading grabbed her. "What are you laughing at? What?!!"

"Don't laugh!" Chen Jiading warned, gazing at her curved eyes, but Zhou Tingwan couldn't help it. She curled up in his arms and laughed again.

Still laughing, she said, "Chen Jiading, how are you so good at writing diary entries?"

She was teasing him mercilessly.

Seeing her laugh so hard that tears welled in her eyes, Chen Jiading finally couldn't resist. He kissed her and said, "If you think it's stupid, just say so. It's not like you can take it back now. I was just lovesick back then. What could I do?"

Zhou Tingwan never expected that a man who looked so cool would turn out to be such a lovesick fool.

"A-Wan, remember to tell me you love me today."

He made her say it every time she left the house.
