My name is Kasukabe Wako. I'm 15 years old and live in Tokyo's Nakano Ward. I'm single. I attend Meiji High School, arrive at school at eight every morning, and am always home by six at the latest.

I study hard, never smoke or drink, and go to bed at ten every night, making sure to get eight hours of sleep.

My greatest wish is to live a peaceful, plant-like life forever.

That's my philosophy, and I know perfectly well that it's what makes me happy.

But now, a white-haired weirdo and a squinty-eyed guy have suddenly cornered me at school, trying to recruit me to join them in exorcising cursed spirits.

I have a few options:

A. Agree and join Jujutsu High.

B. Pretend to agree, then make a run for it.

C. Say Jujutsu High sounds great, but turn them down.

Unfortunately, none of the above is what I chose. I went with a fourth option that wasn't on the list.

From then on, my peaceful life veered onto an uncontrollable course.
