Taotao is the last little Taotie between heaven and earth. Because of her gluttony, she ends up inside an entertainment-industry novel, becoming an antique baby who has just emerged from the ground.
In the novel, she is the Gu family's ancestor, dug up from underground, and the family's lucky charm. The younger Gu Chi is the story's villain. Framed by others and buried under scandal, he eventually ends up with his family destroyed and his life in ruins.
