"With a grain of sand and half a stream, let us pass the years."
My Republican Era novel, Silent Spring's End, is currently updating for free, along with my friend's Republican Era novel, Deep Flowers in Shen Garden. Their blurbs are below. If you're interested, remember to add them to your library!
In a dark alley, Sheng Yutang rescued He Nianqing from a man harassing her. He injured one of his legs, but won her heart.
The two fell in love at first sight, but after getting caught up in a family feud, they didn't dare reveal their feelings.
Their forbidden romance had little support, but it was sweet and unforgettable.
Sheng Yutang had grown up in a large, strictly disciplined family. Unwilling to accept the life his family had arranged for him, he wanted to build a career with his own two hands and find the love he truly wanted. But his parents' objections made both goals all the harder to achieve.
He Nianqing, carefully sheltered by her father and older brother all her life, also had a rebellious streak. She slowly learned how to protect herself, and in the end, broke with her family for his sake.
The two had thought they would eventually be together, but an unexpected turn of events separated them. From then on, war raged across the land, leaving them on opposite ends of the country.
Love at first sight when they met, a secret romance as they grew close, anxious waiting when they lost contact, and passion too strong to resist: in the end, none of it could withstand the turning gears of the times. All that remained was a helpless farewell...
Set in an imagined Republican Era, with no historical figures or events. All place names, personal names, and building names are fictional.
The title and quoted poem are from the Qing dynasty poet He Shuangqing's "Slow Song: Mournful Wild Goose."
Blurb for Silent Spring's End
Late one night, she rescued a man covered in blood.
They both had another side they kept hidden from the world. They knew they were not on the same path, but fate drew them together, step by step.
Liang Yuzhou reached out to her because they had met once ten years ago. She deliberately got close to him to find the man who had killed her father.
Amidst all the truth and lies, the real and the unreal, and after several brushes with death, perhaps they had already chosen each other in their hearts.
Liang Yuzhou had tasted every kind of hardship the world had to offer. He stopped at nothing to rise above the rest.
He had thought everything was under his control, only to discover that Chang Yingxue was his one and only variable.
Her words, "We're not on the same path," made him bury his love deep in his heart.
On the night they were about to confess their feelings, one arrived late, and the other left without a word.
Years later, all that remained of their memories of that night was regret.
Deep Flowers in Shen Garden [Republican Era]
Blurb:
Shen Linxuan, owner of a theater troupe famous across the country, was born into poverty and abandoned by his parents as a child.
He struggled alone in the world of opera for over a decade, enduring hardship and sorrow before becoming a star.
While traveling from town to town, he met a friend's younger sister and fell in love at first sight. He pursued her, and at last found himself a home, one he cherished for the warmth it gave him.
His wife was gentle and considerate, both a fashionable, radiant modern woman and a charming, captivating traditional beauty. He thought their loving marriage, with its mutual respect, would last forever, and they would grow old together.
But she often seemed lost in thought, sadness filling her eyes, leaving him confused and uneasy. She was like a begonia blooming in autumn, destined to wither as soon as it opened.
Then one day, in a newspaper that had been tucked away for months, he discovered his wife's secret: she still longed for another man.
And so, Boss Shen went mad.
Theme: Revitalize the nation's industries
It's really beautiful~ The first time I saw my wife, I was like "I've never dreamed of going to Huizhou". How can I put it at that time? I got goosebumps. Reading my wife's writing felt like being caught in the rain in the south of the Yangtze River. Her writing is good and she can tell stories. I will always support my wife~
It would be nice if the character Liang Xinheng was written more. This character is really good.
Enough! Don't abuse your cousin, I love him (hahahahaha)
"Wheat-colored skin is scary", is there an extra word?
I knew it! Mr. He Wu is worthy of being you!
Okay, okay, play so wildly!
Oh my God! I love the heroine's answer so much! Give yourself a definite answer and start a new life.
Does my cousin like Nianqing?
I want to hear what the author thinks about the male protagonist's enemy's daughter that his mother said
The previous lyrics were so beautiful! It's full of immersion while listening and watching. "Xizi Girl" Willow threads are swaying in the wind, the air is clear at dawn, and the blower is making frequent sounds, The spring scenery is beautiful and overwhelming, I am like a little swallow, You are like a flying eagle, flying across the mountains thousands of miles away. When the world meets the storm, the supreme thing is flying, Be diligent and look forward to it, don't waste your youth, The mighty sound of the iron bird shakes the wilderness, changing clothes for the emperor and his relatives, Instructions to keep in mind the infinite tenderness in my heart, The swaying Baiyun Township, the horse flying in the air with great momentum, The distant mountains and lakes are disappearing, and the journey of thousands of miles is flying. On earth and in heaven, we are jealous of mandarin ducks! The water is full of spring, and the Huansha River reflects the red flowers. Acacia keeps lingering on the east side of the bridge, and I look forward to it a lot, Ningbi looked at the sky and caught a glimpse of Feihong clouds moving, On the return journey, I strive to take advantage of the strong wind and pick up the hero among thousands of flowers. Five Bridges and Three Zhus, shrouded in a triumphant song!
