(I dreamed this, so I'm writing it down)
Briella Flair grew up wealthy and loved. When she was ten, she and her parents moved to Alaska.
"That new house in Alaska was designed by a great designer who lives in seclusion," her father, Charles Flair, told his wife and daughter. "It took a lot of effort to get her to agree!"
Briella happily celebrated her sixteenth birthday.
Then, without warning, her happy life... fell apart.
When Briella, her face streaked with tears and her eyes swollen and red, saw the Cullen family outside her home, she nearly called 911.
"This is my parents' house!" she shouted at the intruders through her tears. "This is my home!"
"Oh, my..." Esme let out a groan. "Child... is your last name Flair?"
"We can't keep her," Edward said to Carlisle. "It's too much trouble, and it's too risky."
"But the poor thing." Rosalie shook her head, then asked Carlisle, "So, should we help her get in touch with a shelter?"

[If I had to compare this story to something, I'd say: "A glimmer of light slips through the sky, swallowed by gray fog."]
"Briella... I'm sorry. May I call you that?"
Carlisle bent down and smiled as he said her name.
"This is my house," she repeated over and over, wiping away her tears each time. "Don't even think about taking over my home!"
