She fights the Living Dead, stockpiles supplies, grows vegetables and grain, and flees from extreme weather. Even the leaders of the shelter cities compete to become her followers.

Lin Xia: Life in the apocalypse is hard, and life in an apocalypse story with mature content is even harder. Either I get bitten by a Living Dead on day one, or I survive!

The moment the Living Dead break into the ruined temple, freshly awakened Lin Xia immediately throws herself at Jiang Si. Gazing at him tenderly, she clutches his robe and makes sure everyone in the temple can hear her: "Brother, I'm your younger sister, lost for many years. Save me!"
