[CM] This World Seems Seriously Messed Up

Chapters will be posted at irregular intervals!!!

Author: The full blurb is in the prologue.

In his previous life, our dear Officer Lin was a patriotic Chinese detective who loved watching TV shows, following anime, and playing video games. He tragically died in the line of duty.

In this life, he was reborn as a foreigner in America, with a somewhat useful detective System and a completely useless special trait thrown in as a bonus. A model child since he was young, he sailed through life and became an honorable FBI agent.

With his System on hand, he always had the truth in his grasp. The detective System constantly bombarded him with clues and answers, ruining the experience, so Officer Lin kept cutting the investigative process shorter and shorter. Before long, his fellow FBI agents had nicknamed him "the famous detective who sees through the truth at a glance."

Officer Lin insisted it was all a misunderstanding! A slanderous lie! He was just an emotionless narrator!! Just as our dear officer thought he could enjoy a leisurely life of reading until retirement, a transfer notice landed right in his face. Because of his absurdly good track record, the BUA team had recruited him.

Officer Lin: This is bad. They've got the wrong idea.

Worldbuilding: Mainly Criminal Minds, with Hannibal, Good Omens, Constantine, Silent Hill (TV series), Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry (games) as secondary influences.

Theme: When reality knocks you down, don't be sad, because it'll kick you again. Don't be upset, because it'll laugh at you too.
