With six months left until his twentieth birthday,
Fang Zhiyou announced to his parents, on his own, that he was going to marry "Brother Jin Sinian."
His psychologist believed this was one of Fang Zhiyou's rigid behaviors stemming from high-functioning autism. His parents couldn't make heads or tails of it, but had no choice but to pretend to go along with it. They transferred Fang Zhiyou to Jin Sinian's university, beginning their "engagement life" of eating and sleeping together.
