Boss Dazai's Overtime Routine in the Main World

After finishing his work, Boss Dazai had everything arranged. At the tallest building in the Port Mafia, he made a long-planned leap of faith.

The result: he didn't die. :)

Then the [Book], which had been pretending to be dead for ages, told Boss Dazai that there was a tiny little problem in the main world. Only he could fix it, or the problem would spread to the derivative world where he lived. And so he unlocked the achievement:

Back to square one overnight.

Dazai: ...

Dazai fell silent. Dazai grew furious. Dazai shouted, "I won't allow it!!"

So Boss Dazai wrote up a script overnight and transmigrated into the main world.

While splitting open the barrier between worlds, the [Book] accidentally split away Boss Dazai's memories, too.

Specifically, Boss Dazai forgot the script he'd written overnight, forgot why he'd crossed worlds, and forgot what he was there to do.

Dazai's memories stopped at his successful retirement, so he seamlessly accepted the idea that jumping off a building would make him transmigrate, and believed it completely. (Not really.)

And so, with the main world's inhabitants looking at him with either pity or complicated expressions...

Dazai gave up.
