A Rich Beauty and a Country Army Officer [Period]

Jiang Youshu grew up listening to stories about princesses and princes. She always looked down on rich young women who married poor men, never expecting that in the blink of an eye, she would become a capitalist's daughter in the 1960s, with a bad class background, who had to marry an illiterate soldier from a family of poor peasants for three generations to escape a life of cleaning out latrines.

Jiang Youshu: Even if it kills me, I won't marry an illiterate man!

Later...

"Sob, sob, hubby, my hand hurts. I can't cook."

"Sob, sob, hubby, I feel awful. Your son is picking on me."

"Sob, sob, hubby, I'm upset. Your mother scolded me."

"I'll cook." "I'll deal with him." "I'll take care of it."

Jiang Youshu: A woman who knows how to act cute has the best life. Even a country bumpkin can be pretty charming once you train him!

Jiang Dachuan lived to the age of twenty-six before learning he had a childhood betrothal, and that his intended was a capitalist's daughter with an extremely high-class background.

When he took the token his father had sent him and went to her home, Jiang Dachuan planned to call off the engagement. How could a capitalist's daughter handle the hardships of being an army wife? It was ridiculous.

He didn't even meet the pampered young lady. Jiang Dachuan swiftly returned the token and turned to leave, only to be stopped by her sharp voice.

The pretty girl glared at him with watery eyes, furious. "Who said you could break off my engagement? Dream on! If anyone's breaking it off, it'll be me. Hmph!"

The beauty hurled the token at him, as if the seed of love had landed in his heart along with it.

Jiang Dachuan stood there in a daze. That night, he couldn't sleep. A girl like her was meant to be his wife.
