The Ghost Warden and Her Taoist Nun Friend [GL]

They traveled thousands of miles to war,

Crossing mountains and passes as if flying.

The northern wind rang against the watchman's clappers,

Cold light shone on their armor.

Generals died in a hundred battles,

While the soldiers returned home after ten years.

Throughout the long sweep of history, there have been thousands upon thousands of "Mulans." I was just the most ordinary one of them. Unfortunately, I didn't "return home after ten years." I only "died in a hundred battles." Of course, that's how it ended for most "Mulans."

My name is... what was it?

Right, my name is Lin Qing. I served in the army for three years and died on the battlefield. Thanks to the good deeds I'd accumulated in my previous life, I entered the underworld after death and became a ghost official.
