Is There a Future in Building Mechs in the Interstellar Age?

As an ordinary transmigrator, Jiang Han was forced to run an ordinary hovercar repair shop. He thought he would live out an uneventful life.

However...

On the first day, a stranger collapsed injured outside his shop.

On the second day, the stranger said he wanted to be his assistant.

On the third day, a lunatic tried to rob the shop.

On the thirtieth day, his assistant dropped his secret identity, revealing that he had come to investigate the cause of General Xie Yi's death. He even asked Jiang Han if he wanted to become a mecha mechanic.

Jiang Han: This mecha mechanic job you mentioned, does it have any prospects?

Later, his assistant died. Jiang Han became the Federation's most famous mecha mechanic and stood beside the resurrected General Xie Yi.

Later still, Xie Yi admitted that he was Jiang Han's assistant.

Jiang Han: "I'm done."

From the gong's perspective

General Xie Yi of the Federation was framed on his way back from a mission. He faked his death and escaped to the place where he had first made a name for himself.

Disguising his identity and proceeding cautiously, he followed every clue to track down the mastermind.

But the owner of a hovercar repair shop derailed all his plans. Xie Yi never expected to drag him into this unfathomably deep whirlpool, too.

After faking his death a second time, he returned to Jiang Han's side as General Xie Yi. Jiang Han asked him, "Why do you look so much like my dead assistant?"

Xie Yi: My mecha's broken. How about you come fix it for me?

Jiang Han: I'll have to pass.

Xie Yi, wearing a secret identity: Hello, Mr. Jiang. Our legion has a damaged mecha that urgently needs repairs. Could you take a look? The payment is 500,000 star coins. When would you be available?

Jiang Han: I'm free right now. Which legion are you with? I'll come over at once.

Xie Yi, without the disguise: Why do you treat us differently?

Jiang Han: I just do.
