I love the novel The Song of Shao by Liudan Pa Shui so much that I wanted to compile explanations of it. Most of the explanations quote works from the internet. I'm only collecting and compiling them, not creating original content.
In short, Liudan Pa Shui's The Song of Shao is an excellent transmigration historical power fantasy. For readers, it's an engrossing work; for writers, it's a rare textbook on writing online fiction.
Novel: The Song of Shao by Liudan Pa Shui
Genres: Transmigration, historical, military
Synopsis: Shao means, first, to continue; second, to guide. In 1127 AD, the Northern Song dynasty fell. Soon afterward, the ninth son of the emperor, Zhao Gou, ascended the throne in Shangqiu amid the hopes of the people, succeeding to the Song dynasty and beginning the Jianyan era. But within three months, Li Gang was dismissed as chancellor, Chen Dong was executed, Yue Fei was driven out of the army, Zong Ze was abandoned in Dongjing, and the anti-Jin defenses in Hebei were dismantled wholesale... After all these efforts, the court officials finally reached a consensus and settled on the glorious strategy of supporting Emperor Zhao as he headed south to the Huai region and then on to Yangzhou to resist the Jin. But just after setting out, the emperor visited the Daoist Patriarch at Mingdao Palace in Bozhou, then tumbled headfirst into the famous Nine Dragons Well. When he climbed back out, he no longer recognized any of his trusted retainers! I want to resist the Jin! But where are all my trusted men?! This is the heartfelt cry of a soul from nine hundred years in the future. After helplessly inheriting the name of the Song dynasty, he intends to lead the court and the realm down a new path. Hence the title, The Song of Shao.
