Set in a small, ancient mountain town, this story follows Fang Yiying, a kind and resilient country girl who transfers to a school in the city. At home, Fang Yiying has never been argumentative or rebellious. She listens to her parents, understands that her family is struggling financially, and never asks for anything. She doesn't compare clothes or food, and obediently accepts the rules and lessons laid down by the adults. This is how she shows her parents how much she cares about their hard work: by being a good child. One day, on her way home from school, she takes a wrong turn into the mountains and encounters a mysterious yellow-bellied tragopan. She has no idea that from that day on, her life has already begun to change...
