Yu Jun had always been an average girl, from her family life to her studies. Few people knew she'd learned all sorts of strange and unusual things.
She was a lazy beauty, too. By senior year, when it was time to find an internship, she simply picked up a random job ad on the road, packed her things, and went there.
It was no ordinary bookstore. Some of its customers were strange. They often brought things for the owner, Buhui, to weigh. Some seemed insubstantial, while others weighed a thousand pounds.
They'd exchange something at a clearly marked price, usually a book.
But there were no safety concerns, and her salary arrived on time, so Yu Jun couldn't be bothered to ask questions. She stayed.
But after that, her days began to grow less peaceful...
As she encountered all kinds of strange "people," she saw herself.
The brightest white, fallen from the clouds into this bustling world.

Buhui ran a shop. Some people saw it as a bookstore, while some "people" saw it as a pawnshop.
No one knew how long it had been there. The owner had changed faces again and again, but was always a young, languid man. He seemed detached from the world, yet his eyes held not a glimmer of light.
But one day, a woman appeared at his side, just as languid and carefree as he was. From then on, his eyes seemed able to hold the sun, the moon, and the lights of countless homes.

Yu Jun saw Buhui's true form. She blinked again and again, then reached out and touched his fox tail without even saying hello.
"If you'd told me you were such an adorable fox, I would've brought my ham." Her clear, melodious voice was enchanting.
The bewitching fox opened its mouth, but what came out was an exceptionally pleasant male voice. "If I had told you, the ham would've been bald before its tail even grew back."
His words were rich with meaning. Yu Jun kept a straight face. "I'm very good with my hands."
Cold winds raged around them, and darkness gathered like a storm. The two of them were as relaxed as if they were at home. The fox cast a casual glance, and countless evil spirits turned to smoke.
The man's voice rang out again, tender and lingering, as if from another life. "I've had the pleasure of finding out. Your reputation doesn't match reality."
[I have waited here for you for a long time. Luckily, you came in the end.]
