My Synthesized Voice Lover, How Could They...

This novel will be completed and become a paid title on April 8. Thank you for reading! As a handsome guy determined to stay single until the end of the world, Lu Xinyuan's biggest problem has always been turning down people's confessions. To prevent these incidents from happening again and again, he carefully crafted a whole new persona before starting at his new company. Lu Xinyuan, male, twenty-four, has a boyfriend and is absolutely obsessed with showing him off. Coworker: Xiao Lu, want to grab lunch in the cafeteria? Lu Xinyuan: How did you know my boyfriend's cooking is amazing? Coworker: Xiao Lu, want to join our mango group order? Lu Xinyuan: How did you know my boyfriend just bought me a high-speed blender? To make his persona more convincing, Lu Xinyuan kept adding details to his imaginary boyfriend. He even invented a whole backstory and paid a premium to choose the perfect voice on an app, then subscribed to its text-to-speech service. From then on, one voice message after another from his boyfriend fooled his coworkers and let him enjoy his love of fictional characters to the fullest. Until one day, Lu Xinyuan suddenly realized that the synthesized voice sounded exactly like the company's newly appointed CEO. Naturally, his coworkers realized it, too. Lu Xinyuan: Help! Is it too late to poison the CEO and make him lose his voice? At the company annual party, Lu Xinyuan sneaked over to the table in the farthest corner, planning to slip out as soon as the CEO finished speaking. "The employee sitting in the east corner, by the pillar, stay behind." Shen Chengzhou fixed his gaze on the small animal with its neck drawn in, his eyes dark and inscrutable. "Come by my lounge." So much for that synthesized voice! [Reading Guide] 1. A CEO with a gorgeous voice x a handsome otaku with a wild imagination. 2. I consulted industry professionals about some of the specialized material, but parts are fictional and serve the story. Please don't overthink them. 3. A sweet one-on-one romance. The author has never suffered, so I can't write angst. It's true. 4. A shameless, self-indulgent guilty pleasure. I love reading this kind of story myself. 5. Updates are irregular for now. I'll write when I feel like it. Theme: Love requires sincerity.
