A Hot Kiss on a Spring Night

Unrequited Love | Mutual Redemption

Wild, rich young master * sweet, gentle, and resilient girl

To outsiders, Qin Yinluo, who lived in the water town of Lan City, seemed strange by nature. She had a porcelain-doll face and vacant eyes.

No one liked spending time with her because she never spoke, like a little mute.

After her father passed away, Qin Yinluo lived with her mother. The first time she met that boy, he was much taller than her and often bent down to meet her gaze.

He looked unruly and playful, with a raised scar on his brow, marked by stitches.

He was a complete stranger to Qin Yinluo. He said, "Come with your big brother."

The girl didn't answer...

"Not talking? Are you really mute?"

The boy frowned and followed the girl's gaze to her mother.

"If your mom agrees, you're coming with me."

She looked at him as two clear trails of tears rolled down her cheeks.

Only later did Qin Yinluo learn that her mother had sent her away for various reasons, and that she and the boy had already been betrothed.

Qin Yinluo was obedient and restrained.

The boy, however, was unruly and carefree. He was Sheng Tongyan, the second young master of the Sheng family, someone she never would have dared dream of being with.

She wondered how people who were so completely different could ever be together.

Even after they married, she remained wary of him, distant and cold.

Then one day, he got drunk, his cheeks flushed.

He took both her hands, his voice edged with anger. "A Yin, your fingertips are cold. Is your heart cold too? Can't you give me even a little warmth?"

Only then did she realize how wretched the man before her was.

All the glory he enjoyed outside, and all the affection he had left to give, he gave to her.

That night, unable to restrain himself, he kissed her lightly. She didn't pull away. This was a boundary Qin Yinluo had never been able to cross.

The next day, Qin Yinluo looked at him and softly called, "Brother Tongyan... big brother!"

He hummed in response, a smile tugging at his lips as he drawled lazily, "Shouldn't we call each other something else now?"
