Offering Fried Chicken to the Gods

In the Temple of Light, a girl devoutly presented an offering: "O supreme god, I offer you this delicious fried chicken."

The god, clad in sacred robes, appeared from within the statue. His golden eyes reflected the girl's praying figure, and he said flatly, "I hear you also offered cola to the God of Darkness, milk tea to the Goddess of Fortune, and meat-filled flatbread to the God of Earth."

Bai Someone: "..."

What could she do? The God of Darkness was a shut-in, the Goddess of Fortune had a sweet tooth, and the God of Earth was always complaining he wasn't getting enough to eat. And you, weren't you obsessed with fried food too?

Bai Someone transmigrated to a Western fantasy world with backward infrastructure. Luckily, it was the setting of an infrastructure-building novel, where the heroine would lead eight races in building a better society together.

So Bai Someone waited and waited. In the end, the heroine never came, but an Infrastructure System did.

System [excited]: This System spent 500 achievement points! I finally found the person with the highest favorability among the gods! Host, let's do something big!

Bai Someone: Like what?

System [resolutely]: Build infrastructure and become a god!

At first, Bai Someone had the ambition but not the nerve, and didn't want to get involved in a battle for the gods' believers. After all, she still hoped to live to a ripe old age and die peacefully.

But later, when the four most powerful gods on the continent gathered at her manor just to eat a pot of spicy hotpot, she suddenly thought:

Maybe becoming a god through infrastructure-building wasn't completely out of reach.

Theme: Development must be grounded in reality.
