Another snowy night. Su Yang stood on a dimly lit street and called Yu Cheng. "Yu Cheng, I don't want to be a good kid anymore."

A soft laugh came from the other end of the phone. "All right. Then let's run away."

On the way home from school, Yu Cheng waited for Su Yang where she always passed by.

"Why won't you be with me?"

"Because I don't like you."

"You're lying."

"Because you're scared." He exposed her wound in an instant, seeing right through her. "You're afraid I'll leave you."

Su Yang paused, then raised her head. "Would you?"

"No."

A few days before Su Yang's graduation, she went to see Yu Cheng.

"Let's break up."

"Give me a reason."

"I don't love you anymore."

"Liar."

"This time it's true. I really don't love you anymore."

The day Su Yang returned to the country happened to be the day of their class reunion. Yu Cheng was there too.

Casually choosing a glass, Yu Cheng asked, "Why are you back?"

"Do you remember what I told you before?"

"I don't remember."

"Then I'll say it again."

"Let's get married!"

One day after they were married,

while tidying the room, Yu Cheng accidentally found a notebook in a long-forgotten box. He dusted it off and opened the first page, but there was nothing there. Just as he was about to close it, he felt indentations on the page.

He shone a flashlight on it. Two sentences had been scratched into the paper with a pen that had run dry.

"Yu Cheng, once I learn how to love myself, I'll come back and love you."

"Love has only one purpose: I want you to be happy."
