My Boyfriend Is a Top-Tier Substitute

As a girl, Shen You had a secret mutual crush on someone who became the one that got away.

Every night, as she regretted and brooded over the past, she had no idea that someone was watching her from a hidden corner, loving her obsessively.

That person was willing to be her substitute.

For Shen You, he learned makeup artistry so extraordinary that he could make himself look exactly like her lost love from head to toe. He copied not only the man's fashion sense, but all of his habits as well.

Shen You fell for him.

He became the perfect stand-in for the person she could never have, the one she had been obsessed with for so long.

But one day, her lost love came back.

It turned out he had never stopped thinking about her either.

A counterfeit is still a counterfeit.

Without hesitation, Shen You dumped the other man and got together with her lost love.

But little by little, she realized that her lost love wouldn't bend to her, wouldn't love her to the point of losing himself completely, and would never willingly become her possession.

Only that other person would.

In the end, the spoiled bird began to long for the gilded cage it had once left behind.
