I Picked Up a Tentacle Monster

Zhou Xun receives a mysterious grass seed. They say it can grant any wish.

Zhou Xun chuckles and casually tosses it beside a cactus that's been dead for days.

On the first night, someone whispers in his ear: "Young man in peaceful slumber, what is your dream tonight?"

Zhou Xun: "Get back the role I lost!"

The next morning, his rival drops out of the production, and the role returns to Zhou Xun.

Zhou Xun: "?"

On the second night, someone whispers in his ear: "Beautiful young man, what is your dream tonight?"

Zhou Xun: "I'm sick. I just want to make a full recovery."

That night, a sweet liquid wells up between his lips. The next morning, he is full of energy.

Zhou Xun: "!"

On the third night, someone whispers in his ear: "Lovely young man, what is your dream tonight?"

Zhou Xun: "I want to pluck the stars."

The next morning, three dazzling stones have appeared beside his pillow. Even the experts can't identify what they're made of.

Zhou Xun: "?!"

The fourth night... the fifth night... the sixth night...

Even his most unrealistic fantasies come true.

This is eerie! Truly eerie!

One night, he deliberately pretends to be asleep and glimpses a twisted, writhing shadow pass across the wall.

He grabs the peachwood sword from under the covers and thrusts it at the shadow, but someone catches him by the wrist. With a snap of the fingers, the room lights up.

A handsome, pale man looks at him, his eyes like emerald-green waves.

In a deep voice, he asks, "Dear master, what is your dream tonight?"

Zhou Xun: "I'm numb... really numb..."

As for the potted plant on the balcony, it is now lush and green.
