Playing the Villain Right in an Infinite Game

The fully immersive game The Beginning of the Stars has entered its beta test, and Qi Yao and countless others have been pulled into it.

They're beta-testing it on behalf of the citizens of the interstellar age.

In the game, players randomly draw identity cards.

Everyone else draws a savior, a faction leader, or at the very least a good-hearted civilian.

Qi Yao draws: villain, villain, and yet another villain.

Mission: kill people.

Qi Yao protests. Wasn't it supposed to be random?

The System replies, tersely: It's weighted random. Blame your rotten nature.

How about amnesia? Maybe it'll refresh your personality?

Qi Yao says politely, "Thanks, but no. I've decided to be a good villain."

The System secretly tweaks the parameters, testing whether a new approach might work.

Qi Yao after losing his memory, happily embracing his villain role:

Only seven kills? That's not enough points. I'm going to set up a game where everyone gets wiped out.

System: ?????

Qi Yao: I'll be a good villain. How can there be a ceiling to a villain's career? How can killing just a few targets for the missions qualify me as a villain?

As someone with an inherently wicked nature, Qi Yao quietly decides at once to make destroying the game his goal.

Villain Qi's inspiring goals: ↓

#If I'm going to be one, I'll be the biggest villain of all!

#Everyone's going to die. I want every head. Either become my underlings or become a kill.

#A villain needs patience and hard work. Plan carefully, act diligently, close the net patiently, and bask in the glory.

P.S. The main focus is the plot, with a romance too.

Theme: Work hard and strive to make your dreams come true
