Hong Shu transmigrates into history as the son of Yinzhen, the deposed crown prince who was born to privilege but was installed as heir twice, deposed twice, and confined until he died in misery.
When Hong Shu arrives, his father has just been reinstated and is rubbing his hands together, ready to go to court and make grand plans (and completely ruin his life).
Hong Shu: "!!"
He hurriedly clings to Yinreng's leg. "Father, you're my one and only dad. Stop courting disaster! Let's quit while we're ahead!"
Yinreng, reborn and now intent only on submitting his resignation at court and slacking off completely: "?!"
His relieved father is just about to join his son in contentedly embracing a lazy life when the little one turns around, fetches a world map, and carefully circles a spot across the ocean. "Father, look! After we quit, how about finding new jobs over there?"
