I'll Raise My Own Husband [Farming]

Original title: Diary of a Fisherman's Child Growing Up

Bai Jing's parents died when he was very young. By the time he was three and a half, even his grandmother, his only family, had passed away, leaving him all alone as a tiny child.

No one was willing to adopt him.

Just as Bai Jing was about to become a little beggar, Ye Yuzhou brought him home.

Everyone in the village said, "The Ye family is dirt poor. How are they supposed to feed another child? They'll barely have enough to eat as it is.

I bet it's because they're poor that he'll never be able to afford a wife. Maybe he's taken home a child bride!"

Ye Yuzhou paid no attention to the village gossip. Holding Bai Jing, he promised him earnestly, "My family may be poor, but I'll work hard to earn money so you can eat your fill!"

Bai Jing looked up at him and obediently murmured, "Mm."

But in his heart, he thought: I have to work hard and earn money too. I can't cause any more trouble for the kind uncle and auntie who took me in.

Everyone in the fishing village knew Bai Jing was the wife Ye Yuzhou had raised from childhood. Bai Jing was the only one who didn't know.

After growing up into a pretty young man, Bai Jing couldn't help asking jealously, "Have you found a young man or a girl you like? Are they as good-looking as me? Can they cook as well as I can? Do they know how to keep accounts? Can they help you out?"

Ye Yuzhou: "I have."

Bai Jing's nose stung, and his eyes instantly turned red. There really is someone!

Ye Yuzhou suddenly grabbed his hand to stop him from running away, holding it tight.

"Will you marry me?"
