Shi Jian is a time-space operative. One day, he wakes up with no memory. Who am I? Where am I? Who's paying my salary?
With no way to collect what he's owed, Shi Jian decides to lounge around and wait to die in one world after another.

Shi Jian enters a turbulent martial arts world, where an outrageous mission suddenly appears in his task list:

Shi Jian trembles, sword and all. "You'd better mean someone named Heavenly Dao!"
As he roams the martial world, Shi Jian may not have the life of a young master, but he does have the ailments of one. He decides to buy a discounted assassin to work and support him.
You get what you pay for. The young assassin is badly wounded and in ragged shape. Shi Jian coughs up blood as he patches him up... only to find that he's picked up a bargain of a powerful ally.
What a great ally, what a wonderful ally, and what a handsome one, too.
The martial world is rife with strife, the imperial court is overbearing, and heroes vie for supremacy. Shi Jian sees the Heavenly Dao in everyone.
That is, until his bargain ally rises to power, too.
Shi Jian: "?"
Unmatched in the art of statecraft, he rules the world and holds the fate of the land in his hands. "Master, I am the Heavenly Dao."
Shi Jian stabs the battered leg of his ally, the one he'd painstakingly stitched back together.

This is a cultivation world. Shi Jian is wanted by the Demon Venerable the moment he arrives.
Shi Jian: "?"
They say the Demon Venerable lost the love of his life. They also say the beloved he lost was killed by the scoundrel he has put a bounty on. And yet another rumor claims that the scoundrel was deeply in love with the Demon Venerable, and killed him in a fit of despair when that love went unreturned.
Shi Jian: "?"
Shi Jian knocks nervously, but excitedly, on the Demon Venerable's door. "Um, how about you stab me back this time?"
(I...! That's not the kind of stabbing I meant!)
And then... Shi Jian stabs his beautiful, strong, tragic Demon Venerable to death again.

Two invisible holes appear in Shi Jian's heart.
One day, in the long and lonely river of time and space, he encounters a figure of light.
It has the form of a grown man, and a familiar, deep, sexy voice:
"Shi Jian, you forgot about me."
"Should I remember you?"
"You shouldn't be such a heartless man."
Shi Jian suddenly feels half guilty. "Am I... your boyfriend?"
"No." The lecherous figure of light sounds regretful. "I haven't even agreed to go out with you yet."
