Xu Yanyi is a B-list star who got his start on a talent show. His team wants to help him transition into acting, so they're finding him roles wherever they can.
As luck would have it, Director Fei, a major figure in the entertainment industry, is making a big-budget TV series with an excellent production team. All the other roles have been cast. The male lead is Lu Jin, an A-list star, while the female lead is He Yan, an actress on the verge of A-list status. The two are a perfect match. When news broke that they would be starring together, fans were saying things like, "They're so perfect for each other! I've already picked out names for their kids!"

Filming was nearing its end.
For some reason, Xu Yanyi felt that Lu Jin's gaze had been getting stranger and stranger as filming went on, especially during Xu Yanyi's final scene with He Yan. Once they finished the scene, Xu Yanyi would wrap up filming.
In the scene, Xu Yanyi had to share a heartfelt hug with He Yan at the airport, right in front of Lu Jin. The female lead had ended up with the male lead, so the second male lead had made peace with it.
Maybe it was his imagination, but during the hug, Xu Yanyi caught sight of Lu Jin looking at him. Their eyes met! But Lu Jin's gaze seemed... as if he wanted to kill him. At the thought, Xu Yanyi quickly looked away.
After filming ended, Xu Yanyi returned to his trailer and thought about Lu Jin's expression.

After the TV series aired, things started developing in an unbelievable direction.
