One day, crystal apple trees sprang up all over the world overnight, and perilous instances began appearing at random. The Investigation Bureau was overwhelmed and had no choice but to seek help from retired detective Lin Ran.
Lin Ran was once a renowned detective: cool, extraordinary, and eccentric. Few people knew she had another identity: a top-tier player in an infinite game.
As the conspiracy behind the game was gradually uncovered, the men around Lin Ran, whether allies or rivals, began to look at her differently:
Her sharp-tongued childhood friend showered her with attentive care. The rebellious deputy captain confessed his feelings outright. The prickly but secretly tender CEO spent a fortune to win her smile. The bewitching master thief gave her an eternally blooming rose... Even the game's unhinged villain pursued her relentlessly.
Faced with a group of men who each had their own agenda, Lin Ran said, “...Thanks, but no thanks. I just want to clear the levels.”
*
Five years ago, Lin Ran cleared the Garden of Eden game, covered in blood.
Five years later, the game summoned her again, tempting her toward the throne of the victor.
Killing intent swept across the globe, and evil spread through the world. This time, Lin Ran resolved to destroy that illusory paradise once and for all.
*It was a poisonous fruit born of killing intent, tempting people into a kingdom of sin.
