Blurb:

Lin Xue is extremely socially anxious.

Then she sees a mermaid climb ashore, and, of all things, she's the only one who sees it. Whoa!

The mermaid's dazzling beauty stands out all the more in the bright midday sun. Lin Xue sneaks a swallow, but the mermaid notices.

The mermaid smiles lazily. "You saw me, right? You have to take responsibility for me, or the human world will end."

Lin Xue: "..." Are you kidding me? Who are you trying to fool in broad daylight?

The mermaid slaps the water, thinking of the human she'd tricked into coming ashore to cook for her, and her smile grows even more alluring.

The next day, the mermaid flicks her tail as she swims to the agreed-upon reef. At last, the human arrives with egg fried rice. This is the life.

The mermaid's eyes turn red as she scoops up the rice. "Don't leave me."

Lin Xue: "..." Mermaids sure know how to act cute.

One day, a tourist checks in at a little seaside restaurant and sees its beautiful owner sitting in a wheelchair, acting coy with the woman beside her. "I want meat."

The woman keeps a straight face, but her ears are already red. She silently pulls an apron out of her pocket and says in a soft voice, "I-I'll make it right away."

The travelers watch the scene and all agree: that's so sweet!
