I Became the 049 Bureau's Beloved by Being Soft and Sweet

Bai Zhizhi is a little demon who ran away from Ten Thousand Demons Valley.

As soon as she comes down the mountain, she's hauled into the police station for questioning because she doesn't have a green license plate.

After her identity as a demon is exposed, she's dragged off to the 049 Special Incident Investigation Bureau for interrogation.

She cries until her eyes are swollen, then ends up as a contract employee at the bureau in a daze.

Bai Zhizhi gives a little sob: Squeak... If I sign, will I get fruit? I'm so hungry. QAQ

She signs the contract and, sure enough, gets some fruit.

But no one told her that her boss is a demon hunter, the natural enemy of demons!

She's done for.

She hears that her direct supervisor is also a genius big shot, the coldest, most violent, and most ruthless in a century.

Waaah, squeak...

Great-great-grandma always said demon hunters like to skin demons and pull out their tendons.

All Bai Zhizhi wants to know now is whether she can stop being a contract employee. She's so scared and wants to go home.
