There is someone living in my heart.
That day, beneath the gentle spring sunshine, I lay sideways on a tree in the Princess Chang's residence, looking down at him, as frail as a fledgling, and teased him with a smile:
"You disturbed my sweet dreams. How are you going to make it up to me?"
Falling blossoms landed on his shoulder. The young man raised his eyes, bright as stars on a cold night:
"How about I spend my whole life keeping you company?"
*
Years passed before I met that person again.
The blossoms had all fallen. I lay sprawled across a tree branch on a desolate hillside, looking down at him, fierce as an eagle, and called out:
"You ruined my plans. How are you going to make it up to me?"
He raised his eyes, cold as an endless abyss:
"Would pointing this little bandit in the right direction count as making it up to you?"
By then, I had long forgotten everything, including him. And yet, I still... felt as if my heart were being cut by a knife.
*
Everything passed like the wind, scouring my heart to the bone.
It turned out I hated him.
He led soldiers to raid my home, killed my parents, and destroyed my family. Overnight, I went from being the only daughter of the high and mighty Princess Chang to a little bandit struggling to survive.
He abducted me to his residence, hoping to pry some useful clues out of me and toy with me in the palm of his hand.
He knew who I was, yet deceived and hid the truth from me. He even made my heart flutter, making me fall for someone I should never have loved.
One glance that lasted a lifetime, only to end in illusion.
I hated him! More than that, I wanted to kill him.
*
That night, I let him kiss me, but the instant I fell into his arms, I plunged the sharp blade hidden in my sleeve deep into his chest.
There were no tears left in my eyes. I spoke each word through clenched teeth: "Qi Ye, this is your retribution."
A Yan stabbed him three times and left him behind three times, yet she could never stop him from climbing out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, again and again, just to stand before her and beg:
"A Yan, I'm sorry. How about you let me stay by your side?"
A free-spirited, mischievous young princess versus the devoted, aloof commander of the Imperial City Bureau
A few things to know before reading:
1. One-on-one romance, both leads sexually inexperienced, happy ending. The main story is told in third person.
2. There are many fictional liberties. Please don't scrutinize the details.
3. This is a growth story, not a power-fantasy tale about a strong heroine. The heroine has a mind of her own, and like the wind, she is impossible for the hero to hold on to.
4. There is more to the raid on the heroine's home than meets the eye. The truth will gradually come to light.
The completed novel After Discovering the Prince Has a White Moonlight is also available. Please check out the author's page!
The blurb for My Husband Brought Home His Childhood Friend, a Green Tea:
(A slice-of-life story about married life) A two-faced little money fox and her Shiba Inu of a husband
Ning Nianqiu was born into the wealthiest family in Jiangnan. Because the Ning family had helped the emperor rise up in rebellion, she and the Crown Prince, Fu Ming, were betrothed as children, and she was raised to be his future Crown Princess.
After they married, they treated each other with respect and lived in perfect harmony. Everyone said Ning Nianqiu was lucky to have married into the imperial family and become a phoenix overnight.
She, too, thought their life would go on like that forever.
Yet less than a year after their wedding, Fu Ming brought home Shen Wanwan, his childhood sweetheart, who had recently been widowed and was heavily pregnant.
Only then did Ning Nianqiu learn that, the night before her wedding to Fu Ming, the emperor had ordered Shen Wanwan to marry someone else, all to ensure that Fu Ming could marry her. Shen Wanwan was the woman he had loved but could never have.
Since Shen Wanwan entered the residence, Fu Ming had not once visited Ning Nianqiu's chambers. Shen Wanwan, on the other hand, often appeared as if she were the mistress of the Eastern Palace, her eyes filled with undisguised venom.
On the night Fu Ming took Shen Wanwan as a concubine, Shen Wanwan forced poisoned wine down Ning Nianqiu's throat. She died amid that glaring crimson red.
Before closing her eyes, she finally saw Fu Ming, but all she got from him was a chilling order: "Bury her."
When she opened her eyes again, that same desperate, hateful crimson filled her vision. Ning Nianqiu had been reborn on the night she married Fu Ming.
The blurb for The Foolish Chambermaid Doesn't Want to Be Reborn:
You Zhizhi had been reborn once again.
In her first life,
she had carefully and attentively served the Secretariat Director, Dongfang Su, for three years.
Everyone in the residence said she was blessed beyond measure, and that it would be only fair to give her the status of a concubine once the madam arrived.
At first, she had hoped for that too. After all, Dongfang Su had a face like fine jade and a strong, healthy body...
But before the madam ever arrived, news came that Dongfang Su's fiancée, Ling Fangruo, had fled on her wedding day.
You Zhizhi watched him change from a treacherous minister who played with political power into a man who treated killing as entertainment. No one knew how many lives stained his hands.
One day, You Zhizhi accidentally wore a hairpin similar to Ling Fangruo's, and she was dragged away and beaten into a pulp.
Before she died, she heard Dongfang Su joke with someone: "She's just a plaything..."
In her second life,
You Zhizhi thought Heaven had taken pity on her and given her another chance.
After sleeping with Dongfang Su, she avoided every chance of running into him, hiding away in the servants' quarters to do the dirtiest and most exhausting work. At last, she made it to the day her parents redeemed her from the residence.
But just as she packed her things to leave, Dongfang Su pinned her beneath him.
After using her, he threw her into the military brothel. That very night, she died after being abused again and again.
Dongfang Su's sinister black eyes haunted her: "You want to leave? Not a chance."
When You Zhizhi closed her eyes once more, she thought she would finally be free.
Instead, she was back on the night she had slept with Dongfang Su.
The nightmare had begun all over again!
Theme: From childhood to old age, one person is all you need.
Well, the writing is quite good, but it may not be the standard for a strong female character... She is quite strong and can be a general, but she cannot beat the male protagonist when she should be, and she will be teased by the male co-star when she should be. It's a typical drama where the female protagonist is stronger than the male protagonist, and the female protagonist can never win against the male protagonist. When teased, he only stares and yells, but does not solve the problem at all. When she is convinced that the male protagonist is the enemy who killed his father and mother, he will not kill her even if he asks her to. Your parents' lives are not as valuable as the one you love? I didn't kill him twice, so I'm still making excuses for myself. Why don't I owe you a debt? Why, your parents' death should have been in vain?
Hahahahaha, so happy! The male protagonist is screwed.
It's beautiful, but the pace is a bit slow and painful.
The author's writing is very good. It's not bad now that I've read it. Thank you to the author for taking my opinion. Dear
This is an old saying, right? Do you use "a few minutes later"?
The heroine is so cute, hahahaha, a bit face-saving, but also cute and quirky. Hahahaha I want to bully
Please click on the column "The Husband Brings Back Green Tea and Green Plums" in the next book~ (Daily Style after Marriage) Ning Nianqiu was born into the richest family in the south of the Yangtze River. Because the Ning family contributed to the Long Uprising, she married the current prince Fu Ming from a young age and was raised as a princess. After the marriage, the two of them raised eyebrows and treated each other as guests. Everyone said that they would rather have a good life in autumn and fly up a branch to become a phoenix. She also thought that life would continue like this. However, less than a year after getting married, Fu Ming took home Shen Wanwan, a pregnant plum who had recently lost her husband. Only then did Ning Nianqiu hear that in order for Fu Ming to marry him, the emperor decreed that Shen Wanwan be married to someone else the night before the wedding, the one he couldn't ask for. Since Shen Wanwan entered the house, Fu Ming has never been to her room again. However, Shen Wanwan often appears as the heroine of the East Palace, with undisguised hatred in her eyes. On the night when Fu Ming took Shen Wanwan as his concubine, Ning Nianqiu was drunk by Shen Wanwan and died in the dazzling red. After closing her eyes, she finally saw Fu Ming, but she only waited for a trembling sentence: "Bury him!" When I opened my eyes again, they were still the same scarlet color of despair and resentment. However, Ning Nianqiu was reborn and returned to the night of her wedding to Fu Ming.
Nice!! Come on, author!
