[Blurb]
Shi Wuyan had lived with his grandfather since he was little. When his grandfather was hospitalized during high school, their family was too poor to afford the medical bills.
Someone found him a job: tutoring the rich young master who had transferred into his class.
At first, the young master was irritable and cold. Once they got to know each other, he trusted Shi Wuyan with his heart. One moment they'd be having a deep talk, the next he'd be blushing and stammering.
Shi Wuyan didn't understand the young master's way of thinking, but as long as his efforts showed up on the report card, that was enough.
But as soon as the college entrance exam results came out, the young master vanished without a trace, deleting every way to contact him.
All Shi Wuyan could do was sigh at the world's coldness and people's treachery.
After finally making something of his career, he died and became the young master's ghostly companion, watching him wine and dine, watching him enjoy a happy life.
Watching him adjust his expression in the rearview mirror while sitting in his car.
So many years had passed, yet the young master still loved putting on an act.
One peaceful day, the young master spent the daytime being sweet with his partner, then drove to another province alone in the middle of the night to climb a mountain, still dealing with work at the summit.
Then, in the blink of an eye, the mountaintop was empty. The man was gone, too.
The shattered phone they found only showed the last text message he'd sent, to Shi Wuyan. It read: [I hate you.]
He thought: How dare you, Bai Nian'en?
His journey as a ghostly companion was forced to end, and the world's consciousness revealed the truth.
It turned out the world he lived in was a 1v1 danmei romance, with Bai Nian'en and his partner as the protagonist gong and shou. Shi Wuyan was merely a minor villainous cannon fodder who appeared briefly in Bai Nian'en's life and received little mention.
Now the original novel was suffering after its author had been disgraced, and its sales had plummeted. The small world was affected, too, and faced collapse.
He was chosen to be reborn and tasked with boosting sales.
This time, when would the young master drop his disguise?
·
As the heir to the Bai family, Bai Nian'en diligently fulfilled his every duty, following up on business negotiations and attending social banquets. He smiled flawlessly as he raised his glass with one guest after another.
The memories of the past had faded to gray. Even with a raging fire ahead, he had to keep moving forward.
He never imagined that person would step out of his memories and appear before him again.
He thought: How dare you, Shi Wuyan?
Gong POV. Shi Wuyan x Bai Nian'en. A calm, composed gong who controls the situation x a seemingly heartless, dishonest, stubborn shou who refuses to admit what he feels.
Reading notes:
1. The gong's interactions with other characters are strictly for the mission, with no romantic feelings. After the gong is reborn, both leads are sexually inexperienced when the story begins. 1v1, and the leads are devoted exclusively to each other.
2. No extreme gong or shou faction fans, and comments that pick fights or support switching the roles will be deleted. Kind words bring kind company; cruel words hurt. I hope everyone can help keep the comments section friendly and harmonious!
*The author is sensitive and politely declines writing advice and guidance. There are countless good stories out there; I hope everyone can find the flavor they enjoy.
Coming soon: "After Picking Up a Mangy Mad Dog," gong POV
The first time Qi Yan met Lu Xiuyuan, it was beside a trash can.
Lu Xiuyuan looked like a stray dog barely clinging to life. When he saw Qi Yan standing there, he called him an idiot.
After Qi Yan brought him home, he wouldn't eat or bathe. He looked like he was already dead and was waiting for his soul to leave his body.
When Qi Yan tried to take off Lu Xiuyuan's clothes, he got punched.
Later, Lu Xiuyuan got into his bed and started taking off his clothes. Qi Yan kicked him.
Lu Xiuyuan cried in a corner like a dog again.
Qi Yan raised Lu Xiuyuan for two years. When the story began and the original protagonist shou appeared, he patted Lu Xiuyuan on the shoulder and said it was time to go.
Lu Xiuyuan put out his cigarette, came over, and unbuckled Qi Yan's belt.
Afterward, Qi Yan touched his bitten, bleeding lip and said, "Be gentler next time."
Then he got bitten again.
·
Qi Yan had transmigrated into a novel from Huashi, whose protagonist shou was the typical delicate, weak, universally adored type, constantly coveted by all kinds of forceful gong characters.
The author's keywords for this novel were [Possessiveness] [Yandere] [Coercion].
Sometimes, watching Lu Xiuyuan from behind, Qi Yan wondered if this was what OOC meant.
Until he bought an infrared detector
and found twenty cameras in the house.
Theme: Love means respecting each other's true selves.
This is the first time I have read a novel where the process of reunion lasts so long. The emotion is so strong.
You want to keep flying in the sky, and the sky is boundless in your eyes
Author, are you stuck again? Why haven't you updated for so long?
It feels like it's not really finished yet, so I'll just squat and wait for the big update [cat's claw][cat's claw]
Is this the end? [Covering face, laughing and crying] [covering face, laughing and crying] Actually, I haven't seen enough yet, I still want to see the follow-up
Young Master Bai also began to think of it.
Two hearts are slowly getting closer 🧋
I thought it was over [covering my face and laughing and crying] It looked so good, but then I realized that I had also read the other one.
Everyone is the boss, why not call me Mr.
