Attacker's perspective:
For more than ten years, Zhou Zhangyuan had walked on thin ice. When he finally lost everything and was about to be forced into the freezing river, he had never imagined that the person who had been by his side all along would betray him.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw that same familiar, detestable face. Hatred tore at his twisted love, dragging his reason into the abyss.
Shadow Guard's perspective:
Ever since entering the imperial shadow guard camp as a child, Thirteen had known he would serve the current Third Prince. He would be the blade in his hand and the stepping stone beneath his feet. He had always known his fate was to clear a path for him through blood and flesh, but at some point, his gaze had begun to linger on him.
(The young shadow guard looks exactly like the attacker’s enemy from his previous life. Angst first, then sweetness. I'll try to make it sweet.)
Disclaimer: This story was inspired by a novel I caught a glimpse of many years ago. I've forgotten its name, and I think it only had five or six chapters at the time. If the author minds, please contact me and I'll lock the story. I'm writing this out of love and making no money from it. I also really hope the author can finish that novel. I loved it so much :)
Theme: Conflict
Like it! Looking forward to a big update!
