As soon as Lu Bingyan graduated, his parents "sold him off." He got a marriage certificate with someone he'd never even met, and before he could process what was happening, he discovered that his new spouse was a moderately famous variety show director...

The director of the very show he'd always mocked!

The other man was young and successful. Though barely in his twenties, he'd already directed several hit variety shows. He had broad shoulders, long legs, slightly upturned phoenix eyes, and striking, if not exactly handsome, features.

For some reason, Lu Bingyan couldn't stand the way he acted all mature and stern while scolding people on his show. That's why the director's show was always at the top of his watchlist, and why he would occasionally slip in a few sarcastic comments...

Like how the director's outfit that day made him look like an old man from the neighboring village taking a post-meal stroll.

Lu Bingyan: "...Can I still run away?"

As an uploader on a certain video site, Lu Bingyan became well known during his four years at university for his sharp-tongued takes on the latest hit variety shows. Recently, though, his fans noticed that he was posting less and less, and had even switched from variety shows to cheesy short videos.

It was hard not to wonder if the two things were connected.

"??? What's going on with Zhegu? Is Lu Chuanze standing next to you with a knife to your throat? How many episodes of the show have aired, and how are you still behind on your commentary?"

"The cheesy videos are hilarious, but I'm begging you to watch the variety show."

"Director Lu is bullying my fave again. I don't dare criticize him, so I want to hear Zhegu say a few words."

Later, Lu Chuanze launched a brand-new variety show, inviting well-known uploaders from several categories on a small video platform. To everyone's surprise, Lu Bingyan's name was right there on the list.

"So Zhegu is sacrificing himself for the greater good, going on the show in person to gather material??"

"All the other uploaders are there to participate, but Zhegu's infiltrating enemy territory, hahaha..."

"Director Lu, protect your material. The enemy has infiltrated."

As the show aired, a photo of Lu Chuanze and Lu Bingyan entering and leaving a hotel room together suddenly appeared on a social media platform, causing quite a stir.

But what they didn't expect was that the very same night, Lu Chuanze posted a photo of their marriage certificates on his own social media account, along with the caption:

"My spouse and I live together. Got a problem with that?"

Note: 1. The shou has an ex-boyfriend, who also appears on the show, but the shou can't stand him. There will be no romance between them. One-on-one pairing.

To meet his annual KPI, Gu Zifan, the God of Matchmaking, descends to the mortal world to join a dating show.

Little does he know that on the very first day, he'll run into his nemesis, Lin Youze, the God of Wealth.

Gu Zifan: What are you doing on a dating show?

Lin Youze: Don't you know young people these days pray to the God of Wealth when they want to find love?

Gu Zifan sees that arguing is pointless, so he can only follow the principle of out of sight, out of mind and diligently work toward his goal.

But just after he suggests to the other contestants that they cook a candlelit dinner themselves to deepen their relationship, Lin Youze arranges for a fancy restaurant and has the two of them hustled out the door that very night.

Gu Zifan: Are you out of your mind!

Lin Youze: Aw, don't be mad. I'll make you noodles.

Gu Zifan: ???

Lin Youze: I only know how to cook noodles...

Note: 1. They have a bickering, love-hate dynamic. The gong opposes the shou at every turn, but never actually sabotages anything and knows where to draw the line.

2. Both are inexperienced, starting with one-sided love and becoming mutually devoted. One-on-one pairing.
