Detective Conan: What If Shinichi Kudo Had a Younger Brother?

Kudo Shinji comes from a family of staunch members of the good guys, but he himself is a high-functioning sociopath.

To keep the family harmonious, Shinji has no choice but to do what his parents did: leave home as a child and travel the world, learning to act from Aunt Vermouth so his family won't find out he's a bad kid.

But...

At fourteen, Shinji returns to Japan for a family visit and falls in love at first sight.

How could someone spend four years remembering a dead person, day after day?

Unanswered letters, mourning clothes worn in every season, revenge from beginning to end...

Shinji wants to experience feelings that intense, too.

For the first time in his life, he's overcome by an urge he can't control. Shinji goes to Matsuda Jinpei.

"Hi, I'm Kudo Shinji. You can call me Shinji-chan. Can I call you Jinpei-chan?"

Using what he learned from the information he'd dug up, Shinji puts on a smile like Hagiwara Kenji's as he says this.

Theme: Pursue what you want bravely. Don't give up.
