A crossover with no CP. My previous story is in my author profile, titled A Brand-New Way to Die Tonight. You don't need to read it to understand this one. The protagonist is chaotic good, will save the police academy team, and is Gin's childhood friend through a chance encounter.
After dying, Gong Xiyou transmigrates into the Detective Conan world and becomes Nikaido Xiyou, Gin's long-lost childhood companion.
His parents die when he's twenty, and the Organization recruits him, a mad scientist researching artificial intelligence.
Gong Xiyou's first thought when he sees Gin: Isn't this the little kid who used to follow me around with bubbles of snot under his nose? When did he become Rapunzel with long hair?
After receiving some tough lessons from his childhood friend's fists, Gong Xiyou quickly becomes a pillar of the Organization and earns the codename Latour.
Gin looks like a vicious thug, but is actually naive and innocent. He's often fooled by the Organization's undercover agents, and then has to endure the protagonist's plot armor. With his childhood-friend filter cranked up to level ten, Gong Xiyou decides to be Rapunzel's knight.
He thought he would keep playing mom to the naive Gin in the Organization, stay out of the way of the protagonist, whose death resets the world, and the undercover agent who pilots a giant robot, and continue to be the coolest guy in the Black Organization. But then some inexplicable newcomer from out of nowhere mistook him for the villain.
The newcomer looked at him with a complicated expression and said all sorts of inexplicable things, like "I was here first" and "I'm your childhood friend," which was bad enough. But then he claimed Gong Xiyou would become the great demon king who destroys the world?
As if! He's an upstanding, good-hearted man, even more conscientious than that officer next door who helps old ladies cross the street. He's working hard for the advancement of the whole world. How could he be the villain?
But is everything really as it seems?
Theme: Sincere friendship can purify the heart
