The protagonists of this story are three witches who live in the Dark Forest.
Witches are born from the formless and have existed ever since life first appeared in the world. They are neither living creatures nor gods. They are simply born from something, watch over something, and have the power to control that something. Unlike human magic, their power comes from the world itself, rather than something inherited through their bloodline.
The Witch's Rules is a collection of quiet, charming little stories about witches, told from the perspectives of ordinary and extraordinary people alike.
