[Mad, Rebellious Type x Innocent Flower]
Awu found a wounded young general at her doorstep.
The young general had a gentle smile. He taught her to read and write, shared books with her, and told her many stories.
Awu had never left the southern frontier, so everything was new to her.
The young general would always say softly, "Awu, come here."
And Awu would smile and walk toward him.
Later, this young general swept through the southern frontier. He stood amid a sea of blood, looking like a demon from hell.
This time, the young general said again, "Awu, come to my side."
Awu's eyes were red, but she still moved closer to him.

After being brought to the capital, Awu learned that the person she had saved was no young general at all. He was the most honored Crown Prince in the capital.
Perhaps out of guilt, the Crown Prince treated her very well.
Just as he had when they were still in the southern frontier.
Until that day, when the summer heat shimmered beneath the blazing sun. The Crown Prince drew the young woman beside him into his arms and said coldly, "Awu is only a medicinal catalyst. Why should you care about the life of some lowborn girl?"
As it turned out, the Crown Prince had been bedridden with illness since childhood. He had brought her to the capital only to take the mother parasite from her body and cure the Gu poison afflicting him.
Only then did Awu understand that she was nothing more than a medicinal ingredient.
Her heart finally turned cold. Awu cut the Gu parasite from her flesh and died before the Crown Prince's eyes.

The day he found Awu, who had faked her death, the Crown Prince saw her standing beside a man in white, holding a hibiscus and smiling gently.
The Crown Prince's face was pale. His hands clenched into fists, yet he still said softly, "Awu, come here."
"Come to my side."
Awu stood some distance away, her expression calm.
She did not take a single step.

He thought that as long as he became emperor, he would get everything he wanted.
But the day he truly reached the pinnacle of power, he suddenly realized that all of it was worth less than half of one of Awu's fingers.
He knew Awu was not dead, and he went mad trying to find her and bring her back.
Awu was his.
He would keep her by his side, for all eternity.
