Jiang Hanjun was born to a distinguished family. Dignified yet free-spirited, she always did as she pleased. Her divorce from her husband, whom she had married less than two years before, set a precedent in the dynasty's history.

"Most importantly, he can cook, and cook well."
Cui Xun was once the heir apparent to a modern-day imperial banquet chef. After an accident, he became the second son of the main branch of the declining Cui clan. Convinced there was no future for him in the imperial examinations, he returned to his old trade and opened a restaurant.
Until one day, a golden phoenix came to visit...
Reading notes
1. No political scheming. This is a slice-of-life story with food and travel. The setting is fictional, so please don't scrutinize the details too closely. I'll do my best to keep things plausible.
2. The former husband is a good person. The princess initiated the divorce, and their marriage was never consummated. They part on good terms.
3. The male lead transmigrates, but he doesn't know the Confucian classics. He will become an official, but not by passing the examinations. He buys his position.
