Synopsis
In the twelfth year of Zhaoning, Ning Jiaoyue saw her dead elder brother at the immortal mountain. But he treated her with cold distance and did not recognize her at all.
After asking around and pursuing the matter, Ning Jiaoyue learned that her brother had lost his memory and had taken a new name: Lin Huahe. She was furious and frustrated, but there was nothing she could do. For years afterward, she followed him around, yet she never managed to make him regain his memories.
Worse still, her brother treated her with distant disdain, while everyone else at the immortal mountain mocked and looked down on her. When they were in danger and he could save only one person, Ning Jiaoyue watched with red-rimmed eyes as the brother who had once sworn to put her first chose his junior sister instead.
Born to privilege, Ning Jiaoyue had never been treated so coldly or dismissed so casually. Especially not by the brother who had sworn since childhood that they would live and die together.
She questioned him, insulted him, and fell apart, until at last all she could tell herself was to let it go.
During those three years at the misty immortal mountain, whenever she looked at her brother, who had always been cold and distant toward her, she thought of their childhood: little her, resting on the thin back of the boy, the two of them gazing up at the stars and whispering their vow to stay together for life.
When she decided to leave the mountain, Ning Jiaoyue still wanted to say goodbye to her brother.
In his room, she stared absently at a wooden carving on the table. From behind the screen came her brother's cool, indifferent voice: "She's been spoiled and overbearing since childhood. Why should you, Junior Sister, bother with her?"
So her brother had never lost his memory.
That day, the moonlight was hazy, falling like rain. The only thing left behind at the immortal mountain was Ning Jiaoyue's hasty departure.
The young lady, whose only words had always been "I never let anyone off," no longer wailed like she had as a child when faced with the prolonged deceit and betrayal of the person dearest to her. She fled into the moonlight in a panic. Then, after an accident on the road, she lost her memory by sheer coincidence. Everyone else still remembered, except the person she had called her elder brother since childhood.
*
Lin Huahe often dreamed of his younger self, clutching a sword and glaring at him with red eyes, ready to kill him.
Later, he wanted to kill himself too.
1. They are not biological siblings.
2. One-on-one romance, happy ending. Both leads have flaws. The synopsis is a little convoluted, so let readers decide what's right and wrong, but please don't hate Jiaoyue or Yuanyuan, okay? The male lead from the past will transmigrate here, and the two men will fight over her.
3. My own take on cultivation fantasy. This is my first time writing xianxia, so please bear with me. Yuanyuan mainly wants to write a groveling redemption story and make up for the lack of one in her xianxia collection. (Not really.)
4. No need to tell me if you drop the story.
Please add my upcoming story, Has Your Highness Been Cremated Yet? Mwah!
Synopsis
Raised in the countryside until she was thirteen, Yun Sui was told that she was actually the daughter of the richest man in Jiangnan.
A crowd of guards packed the little farmhouse. Their leader tossed over a bag of silver and took Yun Sui back to the Su family.
Yun Sui thought she would have more family now, but instead she was met with her father's indifference, her mother's contempt, and her elder brother's disregard.
The splendid hall was full of pearl curtains and jade screens, with fragrant breezes drifting through it. Everyone was dressed in finery, and Yun Sui was the only one who did not fit in.
In the bitter haze of this dreamlike life, Yun Sui's insecurity grew wild. The only person who had ever comforted her or shown her kindness was Xie Qinyu, her brother's friend.
It seemed only natural that she would fall for Xie Qinyu.
He was gentle, refined, talented, and radiant. When he looked at her, there was none of the disdain she saw in others.
He didn't care when she wrote her name incorrectly. He taught her the rules of the great families. When her vanity got the better of her, he even helped her cheat with an exasperated look. Her parents and brother also became more tolerant of her because of Xie Qinyu.
Once again, after relying on Xie Qinyu to win everyone's attention, Yun Sui instinctively looked at him. The young man smiled warmly at her from within the crowd.
Standing on the raised platform, Yun Sui thought this would be the last time. She would tell Xie Qinyu that she no longer cared so much about these things. She liked him.
That night, when the two met, the aphrodisiac someone had slipped Yun Sui finally took effect. Before she could even say "I like you," she saw the young man's gaze settle on her flushed face. He patted her head, his voice gentle but helpless, and spoke without much reproach.
"Yun Sui, currying favor with the powerful is only human nature, but don't use such a low trick as drugging someone again. It will only hurt you."
He hadn't even asked her anything before passing judgment.
That night, the moon and stars shone brightly, and Yun Sui was locked alone in the study.
As the drug's effects tormented her until she nearly passed out, the study door remained firmly shut. One thought kept echoing in Yun Sui's mind: she didn't like Jiangnan, she didn't like the Su family, and she didn't like Xie Qinyu anymore. She wanted none of it. All she wanted was to go home.
After dawn, the first light revealed how disheveled she was. The refined and dignified young man stood in the light and gently offered her a handkerchief.
Born into the imperial family, Xie Qinyu had seen many people like Yun Sui.
Shallow and vain, always trying to climb the social ladder, and incredibly difficult to deal with. Someone like her wouldn't give up just because he rejected her once. So he smiled warmly and offered her the plain white handkerchief.
He thought Yun Sui would take it with her usual happy shyness. But in the dawn light, when he reached out to her, the disheveled young woman simply recoiled as if by instinct. Without even looking at him, she staggered away.
Theme: What's done is done, but the future is still within reach
I haven't written it yet. The progress is already slow and updates are still slow. There are still a lot of memories, and the plot doesn't move forward at all.
Are you sick or something serious happened three times? No matter what, please let me know in advance. You promised to update it weekly, but now you have disappeared for two months. Is it worthy of the readers who have been following the update? Originally, the male protagonist design was annoying enough, but I stuck with it because I really liked Little Moon Bright. Now, what do you want to do by disappearing... He didn't even put up a request for leave.
Let's skip ahead. Yuanyuan, why did you miss the appointment again? [Lie down]
How long will it take before I lose my memory? The lead actor is so emotionless and he is worse than the second lead actor.
What's wrong with you? What happened? Can you send me a note to tell me [vomiting blood]
Why do you keep interrupting updates? Why can't you just leave a note if something happens? ? ? And you said it will be updated the next day, so if you can't do it now, can you remove this sentence from the copy [Cracked]
Teacher, I really can't dote on you this time, so why don't you just put a note asking for leave...
You don't need to send so many red envelopes, just come back and update [please] I really like this article, you don't know how much I miss you
There's no need for a refund, just finish writing well and don't cut the outline. It's just a three-month break. To be honest, I'm used to it ()
