It's Easy to Invite a God, but Hard to Send One Away

Leng Gong was an orphan picked up by the roadside, exceptionally gifted on the path of cultivation. As the first and only closed-door disciple of Wan Hua Pavilion, the foremost sect in the cultivation world, he was the most promising candidate to ascend to immortality. He bore the responsibility of bringing glory to his sect and honor to his ancestors.

His master, the sect leader, had long ago betrothed his only son, Leng Feiqing, a good-for-nothing when it came to cultivation, to his eldest disciple, Leng Gong. While still alive, the sect leader passed his position to Leng Gong during the wedding ceremony and officiated the marriage himself. He made Leng Gong swear a solemn oath to never abandon Leng Feiqing. Three months later, the sect leader passed away, having exhausted his strength.

Late one night, after finishing the sect's affairs, Leng Gong returned to his room and discovered that his husband had left a note and run away. He stared at the six large characters on the note on the bed: "Traveling abroad. Do not look for me!" After a long silence, he burned it after reading, his face showing neither joy nor sorrow.

Leng Feiqing's departure lasted seven hundred years... He never once returned to Wan Hua Pavilion.

Leng Gong was naturally cold and emotionally detached, with no interest in romance. The only man he had ever touched was the sect leader's son. That connection made Leng Feiqing subtly different from everyone else, as if he were Leng Gong's only attachment.

Leng Gong never sent anyone to look for Leng Feiqing. He let his husband leave on his own and, for hundreds of years, never asked whether he was alive or dead. Everyone said the soon-to-ascend Leng Gong was cold-hearted and dispassionate. Yet when the time for his ascension was near, he damaged his cultivation like a demon to suppress it, awkwardly and indirectly forcing one person to return.

After Leng Feiqing ran away this time and was forced to come back, he suddenly transformed from a good-for-nothing at cultivation into a powerful expert with formidable cultivation. His personality changed, too. Once resistant, he suddenly became clingy with Leng Gong. When things are this unusual, something must be up...

The gong has an awkward personality. He's the type who won't say what's on his mind directly.

The shou is childish at first, but after running away and going through a series of events, he grows mature and steady.

The ending is tentatively HE for now. The setup may change.
