This year, the new students arrived. Shi Heng was quiet and aloof, but there was still a lot about him worth admiring.
Nian Ji'an was a witty and charming sophomore in high school, loved for his looks and personality, though his grades were nothing special.
This year, the two of them ended up in the same class, to everyone's surprise. Shi Heng had never heard of him and didn't care. Nian Ji'an had heard of Shi Heng, but didn't know him.
Shi Ge introduced them, and they soon got to know each other. Nian Ji'an seemed to fall for Shi Heng at first sight.
As the son of a wealthy family, Nian Ji'an had a car and driver at his disposal and was used to spending lavishly. This year, though, he gradually changed because of Shi Heng and became frugal.
Having been bullied as a child, Shi Ge was now very wary of others. After the bullying at school, she learned taekwondo and became someone not to be messed with.
To her parents and teachers, she was a model student. Outside, she was a boss. To avoid complications, Shi Ge chose the alias Jian Shiyu.
In their senior year, Shi Heng and Nian Ji'an agreed to attend university together. The day before the college entrance exam, Shi Heng didn't show up. After asking around, Nian Ji'an learned that Shi Heng and his whole family had gone abroad.
And just like that... they missed each other for three years.
