His Majesty Keeps Wanting to Retire

Xie Lian died.

The good news: once you're dead, you don't have to work overtime.

The bad news: he came back to life.

When he opened his eyes, Xie Lian realized he had transmigrated.

The good news: he had become the ruler of a country.

The bad news: a ruler's memorials piled up like mountains, and he had to work overtime all year round.

Xie Lian: "..."

Forget being emperor. I'm done with this!

The new emperor, Xie Lian, was suspicious by nature and trusted only his own people.

He suspected his younger brother of plotting to usurp the throne and believed his powerful ministers were planning a rebellion.

He even furiously denounced Yan Wenhui in court as the most treacherous minister in all of Daliang.

The diligent Yan Wenhui: "..."

Fine, let's rebel.

One day,

a spy from an enemy kingdom failed to assassinate the useless emperor,

and when the emperor woke, he urgently summoned Yan Wenhui to the palace.

Yan Wenhui sneered: Am I going to get saddled with the blame again?

Just as Yan Wenhui was thinking about how to talk back to the useless emperor,

the emperor grabbed his hand and said excitedly:

"My dear minister, at last you're here! I've missed you so terribly!"

Yan Wenhui: ???

What scheme is the useless emperor up to now?
