[I tend to get writer's block easily. I often get stuck while writing and have absolutely no idea what to write next. When it happens, I can be stuck for a whole day, so updates are very slow. Please think carefully before starting, dear readers.]
Short story, complete in a little over twenty chapters.
Shen Yiting transmigrates into a melodramatic novel titled The Substitute Lover. The biggest source of conflict between the leading couple is the original Shen Yiting, a notorious online laughingstock and pretty-boy with nothing to offer, who shares his name.
The leading man, Cheng Jixing, proposes to keep the leading recipient, Yao Shao, as his lover. Yao Shao, who has a secret crush on Cheng Jixing, accepts the arrangement. Later, Yao Shao discovers by chance that he is Shen Yiting's substitute.
But in truth, the original Shen Yiting was merely a means for Cheng Jixing to fend off the Cheng family. Cheng Jixing had been secretly in love with Yao Shao since their first year of high school.
After finishing The Substitute Lover and transmigrating into the original Shen Yiting, Shen Yiting declares, "I'm staying well away from other people's business."
Later, he meets the devoted second male lead, Gu Jiannan, at a gathering. From then on, Gu Jiannan's shadow is always nearby.
*
Gu Jiannan used to be a pitiful little thing. Just like in every other novel, he had a terrible family and a terrible father. Fortunately, he had a mother who loved him, and one day he would have a partner who loved him too. There are always a few people in life who love you.
Pure-hearted, slow-to-warm top-tier star gong x cold on the outside, warm on the inside, scheming CEO shou (I might not pull this off)
Happy ending, equally matched, devoted to each other, mutual affection
Content warnings: 1. Beautiful gong
2. The gong is slow to warm up
3. The tension lasts a long time
That's all for the blurb for now. I'll add the shou's details later.
None of the characters are based on real people. I only follow one star.

Why is the first chapter so small?
