The Queen's Absurdity

When Qin Chuyu looks back on her life, she sometimes thinks the happiest time was when that jinx was living in the palace away from the capital. Back then, her emperor uncle doted on her and her cousin, the Crown Prince, spoiled her. When she was ten, the Crown Prince took her to the pleasure quarters, and she picked up all sorts of bad habits, spending her days mingling with actors and dancing girls. There was only one thing the Crown Prince forbade her from doing: drinking alcohol. While Crown Prince Dexi drank fine wine, Qin Chuyu sipped all kinds of sweet drinks the Imperial Kitchen had painstakingly created. When he got drunk, he'd say, "Achu, when I ascend the throne, I'll give you a harem of your own." A beautiful young actor rested his head on her knees and said, "Then, Your Majesty the Empress, don't forget this lowly commoner." His voice was as clear as a spring, and Qin Chuyu loved listening to him. She stroked his face, then turned to the Crown Prince and pouted. "You make it sound as though you're rewarding me." The Crown Prince would set down his cup and say, "I'm the one begging you, Achu. Share the world's condemnation with me." Then, when she was fourteen, the Crown Prince died, the emperor died, and her father found out just how outrageously she'd been behaving. She was confined at home to learn proper manners, and she directed all her anger at the jinx seated on the throne in the imperial palace. "I've long heard you're a jinx. You caused your twin sister's death, then you caused Brother Yuncheng's death. You even caused Uncle's death. Jinx, aren't you the one who deserves to die most?" The young emperor looked up at the girl sitting on the rockery. Her coral-red skirt fluttered in the breeze, and her dazzling smile was so bright it hurt to look at. No one would have guessed that someone so beautiful could say something so vicious. Warning: The heroine is literally insane; the hero is a black-hearted wolf in sheep's clothing with a refined tea-art persona. Theme: Only hard work can help you overcome illness
