The City's Mutation [Wasteland]

Liao Ping'an's parents named her Ping'an, hoping she would enjoy peace and safety throughout her life.

Who could have guessed that she would study biology as an undergraduate, computer science for her master's, and physics for her doctorate at T University? After finally making it to graduation, her smiling advisor even invited her to pursue a postdoctoral degree in robotics. Liao Ping'an turned her down on the grounds that she had "no hair left to study with," and was just about to lie flat and enjoy a comfortable life when...

She woke up in a wasteland world.

Resources were scarce, radiation and oxygen deprivation ran rampant, creatures mutated, order collapsed, people turned on one another, survival was uncertain from one day to the next, and cities were afflicted with disease.

How was any of this peace and safety?!

At first, after arriving in this world, Liao Ping'an would frantically mutter to herself in front of the bewildered onlookers, trying to activate something called a "System";

Or open her front door hundreds of times a day to see if a game helmet had fallen from the sky;

Or desperately wave her hands around and put on a show, hoping the viewers secretly watching her livestream would cast more votes so she could save up enough points to go home sooner...

But after gradually going through one ordeal after another: man-eating plants mutating, Cthulhu-esque supernatural sea monsters coming ashore, fights over water sources and grass seeds, gun battles with desert cannibals, uprisings by people with inferior genes, and pursuit by a cybernetic robot squad...

Liao Ping'an was left with only one goal for herself:

Stay alive!

Liao Ping'an, a fifth-class citizen at the very bottom of society, had to put her knowledge from her previous life to use so she could survive and improve her quality of life. She grew crops, built infrastructure, made weapons, formed an army, controlled mutations, cultivated supernatural abilities, quelled riots, and destroyed cults...

When she had finally saved up the hard-to-find Star Coins and was ready to head to humanity's last surviving refuge, the White Tower, for some fries...

She discovered that her name had already spread throughout the wasteland, both inside and outside the White Tower: Liao, Guardian of F824, Goddess of Sowing and Fertility, Queen of the Dusk Desert, Shatterer of Injustice, Mother of Supernatural Abilities, Commander of the Crazy Steel Squad, and... well, the list was too long to fit.
