The author's not very smart and can't write mind games or schemes. This is just a very ordinary romance about exploring the world of cultivation.
The characters may be a wooden-hearted girl and an arrogant peacock of a man.

Zhou Huaishu is the junior sister of Floating Cloud Peak, an ordinary sword cultivator who treats her bonded sword as a family member, a friend, and a lover. Thanks to her devotion, her beloved sword, Qingqing, has actually developed a sword spirit!
But why is the sword spirit a boy? Fine, a boy is one thing, but why is he so sharp-tongued? And why does he look so much like that genius sword cultivator from Rolling Cloud Peak, her junior uncle Baili Zhiji, whom she has never even met?
Baili Zhiji is an undisputed genius in the cultivation world. Somehow, Zhou Huaishu's sword absorbed him, robbing him of his memories and turning him into a sword spirit.
He can't stand this master of his. He thinks she's stupid, poor, and not pretty enough.
But it's the first time he's seen such bright determination in her defiant eyes. Her injuries as she keeps pressing forward make his heart ache. He starts to fear she'll get hurt, and wants to give her the best of everything and pave the way for her.
But this girl doesn't need him to. Through her own perseverance, she'll walk her own path to ascension.

Baili Zhiji asked, trying to sound casual, "What do you think of that junior uncle?"
Zhou Huaishu: "Who?"
"That genius sword cultivator."
"Uh... which one?"
"Bai, li, Zhi, ji," Baili Zhiji said through gritted teeth.
Zhou Huaishu replied, clearly uninterested, "I don't know him."
He hissed, cursing the silly girl for not knowing a good thing when she saw it. Wasn't she supposed to say something like, "I admire him so much! I look up to him!"?
He tried again. "I heard he knows both the Floating Cloud Sword Technique and the Spring Return Sword Technique. Give him any sword manual, and after a quick read, he'll be able to use it flawlessly."
Zhou Huaishu's eyes lit up. "I really want to ask Junior Uncle to teach me!"
Baili Zhiji: ...This damn sword fanatic!!!

This isn't a story about a powerful female lead. Baili Zhiji is a genius, but Zhou Huaishu is just an ordinary person who works hard. She has no golden finger. The story is mainly about the heroine's growth.
There are lots of original settings. If you don't understand something or haven't seen it before, just assume I made it up.
