I Fell for My Childhood Friend's Aunt

Li Ruyu, who grew up in a single-parent household and took care of her younger brother, excels in school. One day, an accident leads her to save the local richest man's beloved daughter.

When Yu Zhiruo was three, she asked Li Ruyu, "Mom and Dad got married, and Grandma and Grandpa got married. If you and I get married someday, Big Sis, what will happen to Auntie?"

Li Ruyu looked at the porcelain-doll-like little girl before her, so fair and delicate.

She pondered the ethical, legal, and same-sex issues wrapped up in that one question.

Li Ruyu remembered every moment she spent with Yu Qingzhu as if it were yesterday.

That New Year, fireworks bloomed brilliantly across the sky above Qianshan City.

Li Ruyu gazed at Yu Qingzhu's profile, quietly admiring her, then asked, "Big Sis, are you happy?"

A smile appeared on Yu Qingzhu's beautiful, refined face. Looking at Li Ruyu, she replied with a smile, "Every day I'm with you makes me happy, little sis."

That summer, Yu Qingzhu graduated from university and was about to study abroad. Every morning, during her jog, she passed by the old residential neighborhood where Li Ruyu lived.

"What a coincidence, Ruyu. You go jogging in the morning too?"

Li Ruyu blushed and nodded. "Mm. Our PE teacher assigned it as homework."

That year, when Li Ruyu ran away from home, Yu Qingzhu returned to the country without hesitation, suitcase in tow.

Li Ruyu, who was working at a restaurant to support herself and her younger brother, saw Yu Qingzhu's figure beneath the blazing sun. Her tears poured out like a burst dam.

She held her tightly and said, "Ruyu, Big Sis is here."
