Pinocchio's Girlfriend

One day during a casual chat between classes, Yu Xin, passing by, quietly chimed in and caused an uproar.

Who is Wen Xu? He's got the face of a school heartthrob, is a regular on the honor roll, and gets driven to and from school in a different car every day of the week.

A favored son of heaven like him could never have anything to do with her.

"We're dating in secret, so you have to keep it quiet for me."

"I swam in his pool yesterday, which is why I caught a cold."

"I rode his 'Maybach' to school today... You mean it's called a Maybach? Oh, that's just the nickname I gave it."

To keep her story straight, Yu Xin wracks her brains every day to come up with more lies.

Until one day, after evening study hall, Yu Xin, unable to ride in the "Maybach," hides in a corner, hoping to catch the last subway after everyone has left.

Footsteps draw near. In the moonlight, the boy grins mischievously.

"I hear I'm your boyfriend?"

As the blurb suggests, the heroine is rather vain (though it stems from her insecurity), and the story follows her personal growth. Readers who demand perfect protagonists may want to skip this one.

My childhood friend is a b-king.

He wears sunglasses when he goes out on sunny days and carries a handmade Italian umbrella when it rains. He likes to walk with the arrogant strut of a runway model, and always stands with one hand in his pocket.

He happens to have a face perfectly suited to showing off, and wherever he goes, he attracts a crowd of admirers.

Later, he finally finds the perfect career for himself and becomes a star on stage. Every camera pointed his way gives him a chance to show off.

Everyone says he's so cool and handsome. I'm the only one who's seen him just after waking up, hair like a haystack; cowering behind me in a haunted house; and tearing up at the sight of a kitten with a limp.

He's no "stone-faced demon king who could destroy the world." He's clearly a timid, slow-witted crybaby.

Until one day, this "two-faced" guy suddenly asks me if I can please stay by his side.

As if! The thing I hate most in this life is someone who puts on airs!

An absurd, bittersweet romance (more sweet than bitter)

He's not a mainstream celebrity, the entertainment industry is not a major focus, and there are no real-life inspirations.
