Unofficial Legend of the Galactic Heroes Fan Fiction: Many, Many Years

Why is this a pseudo- Legend of the Galactic Heroes fanfic? Because it's been years since I last read Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I remember the characters and roughly remember the plot, but I've forgotten all the dates and details. Worst of all, I'm too lazy to look them up. So, as you can imagine, this story is riddled with plot holes, and the author is annoyingly unwilling to fix them. Then why am I so determined to write a Legend of the Galactic Heroes fanfic? Partly because I once loved it deeply, and Yang Wen-li is still my greatest heartache. And partly because, with fanfiction, the setting and broad strokes are already in place, which makes it easier to write. If someone says, "What the heck? If you love making things up and don't care about keeping the characters in character, why not write an original story instead of wreaking havoc on Legend of the Galactic Heroes?!" I'll answer, "Because I love it so deeply." One more thing: the heroine is a minor character in Legend of the Galactic Heroes, while the main characters of Legend of the Galactic Heroes are minor characters in her life. The heroine unoriginally ends up in the Empire, and, also unoriginally, she's a noble. She unoriginally falls in love with an admiral and then unoriginally marries him. That's the story. Another thing: I don't actually like breaking up canon couples. Oh, right. Plausibility is about as real as a cloud. I love giving my heroine a protagonist's halo. And the canon plot barely appears in this story, so you could almost consider it an original work.
