HP: A Fortunate Encounter

Chen Yiran, an independent woman of the twenty-first century, is 24 and pursuing a PhD at A University, one of the top universities in Country Z. At 28, she becomes an international interpreter. She dies in an accidental plane crash during a registration assignment. When she wakes, a foreign couple is gazing at her tenderly, while an adorable, curious little boy hovers beside her. She initially thinks she has transmigrated into an ordinary world, or perhaps a novel, and is determined to live well and love life. Then this world gives her a shock.

"What the heck? A magical world? Fantastic Beasts, or Harry Potter?" Under immense pressure, she decides to do her best to save this world, only to discover that it is the 1960s. Huh? The Marauders' era? Well then, before any of that happens, she'll just be an unremarkable Chosen One...

Mostly the Marauders' era, with a little of the next generation.

There will be original material and lots of foreshadowing and the like. Writing this is honestly hard for me, since it's my first story. Updates will be irregular, but the paragraphs will be clearly divided to make things easier on the eyes.

I'll also sometimes post little bonus scenes. Extras will come after the story is finished, since I don't really like interrupting the main story with them. If there are angsty parts, I might insert one or two extras, about their married life or sweet moments. Sometimes in the author's notes, I'll talk about the heroine's personality, how I developed the characters, little details, spoilers, and all sorts of random things.

I won't bash anyone, and I'll try to keep everyone in character. The original characters belong to Rowling, though, so if anyone is out of character, that's on me. The plot is a slow burn, so read with care. There is some angst, but it's mostly sweet. Saving the world is the main plotline, and romance is secondary. Black is black, and white is white. I'll only redeem Bellatrix. Most importantly, I never said Bellatrix would definitely get a happy ending or anything! I won't redeem the other Death Eaters. I see both sides of people: good people aren't necessarily perfect, and bad people aren't necessarily entirely bad, except for Voldemort. No pairing changes. This is the first Harry Potter fanfic I want to write, and I plan to make it a four-part series, to make up for some regrets (nervously rubbing my nose). There will be a few original characters, but not many. I'm a high school student, so I don't have much time to update, especially since I go to a private school... I'll definitely post more during every school break! If it's not your thing, feel free to move on. That's all, and thanks for your support. I'm not looking for gifts or anything, I just want to make up for some regrets. Haha, as long as we're having fun! If there are parts you don't understand, please give me your advice.
